YAY, I think we all loved smashing pumpkins when we were little, this is just smashing pumpkins that bite!

I wish Stacey was my teacher. I would have been the perfect student and attendance would be perfect. Especially if they did Zombie lessons at school.

Here’s a question: are zombies smart enough to differentiate between living and undead or do they just go around biting whatever moves? And if they can tell the difference, how do they do so? sight? smell? super zombie instinct?

  4. That is an *excellent* question, Rain! If you follow traditional zombie canon, zombies never eat each other. My zombies are the same way – you’ll probably never see them chowing down on each other. There are several theories on why this might be the case. Some people believe that living matter has a sort of energy that is given off that zombies can sense. Other people believe that zombies share some kind of rudimentary “hive mind”, which allows them to recognize each other as part of the ’same team.’ …the same reason ants from one colony won’t attack each other but descend on an outsider. Some movies have suggested that if you can *act* like a zombie, you can pass yourself off as a member of their ranks, and move among them without being attacked. In that case, it would all be based on body language and visual cues. I’ve also read comics that suggest zombies have enhanced smell, so by rubbing rotten flesh over yourself you could walk past them without being attacked. All of these are possibilities, but you’ll have to wait and see why my zombies do what they do! Mwahaha!

    Thanks, Marty-sensei!
